Jamie LoderMaine Pointe expands its European business by appointing Jamie Loder to London-based position

(Boston, Mass., May 8, 2019) Global supply chain and operations consulting firm Maine Pointe announced that Jamie Loder has joined the firm as Vice President, Industry Partner for Private Equity, based in the company’s London office.

As an experienced Chartered Accountant and company director, Loder has led management buy-outs, and has successfully exited businesses he founded. His 16-year track record of helping CEOs overcome complex business problems will help in Maine Pointe’s goal of driving value creation in the portfolio companies of UK and European private equity firms.

“Jamie will be essential in continuing the expansion of our European business,” said David Jadwin, EVP, Business Development at Maine Pointe. “His relationships with leading private equity firms, and his deep experience and track record in driving value creation, will provide us with a closer connection with the top leaders in the European financial sector.”

Before joining Maine Pointe, Loder supported private equity firms assess all of the many financial and subjective factors that could influence the outcome of their investments. He is a Qualified Chartered Accountant, and received his BA in Politics, Political Science and International Relations at Newcastle University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.

“I am pleased to be joining Maine Pointe and look forward to continuing to strengthen the firm’s European business,” said Loder. “Maine Pointe is a leader in private equity both in the US and the UK, and I look forward to helping drive shareholder value and supply chain performance for their clients.”

Recently, Maine Pointe, a leading supply chain and operations consultant to the private equity firms, conducted a survey of 50 PE executives. The company found that many firms still lack understanding of the critical importance of supply chain in areas such as logistics, operations and procurement. This lack of understanding is supported in a recent white paper sponsored by Maine Pointe and published by the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute titled, “Driving shareholder value with your supply chain.” Only 16 percent of companies have a multiyear, documented strategy for supply chain excellence. The authors of the paper also outline how shareholder value is inextricably linked to supply chain performance.
