Maine Pointe Announces New Board of Directors To Support Growth Trajectory

Senior Executives from Leading International Companies Bring Greater Depth and Expertize to Company as it Aims to Double its Revenue in the Next Two Years

(Boston, Mass. March 18, 2015) Maine Pointe LLC, a global, implementation-focused consulting firm and supply chain transformation leader headquartered in Boston, US, today announced a new Board of Directors that will help strengthen the company’s capabilities and maintain its growth momentum. The new Board has deep experience in Maine Pointe’s focused sectors, which includes chemicals, food & beverage, transportation, oil & gas and private equity. The Board includes Robert Glatz, CEO of Fybr, Wendell Knox, a Board Director of Abt Associates, Inc., Alexander Watson, a Fellow of the UK Institute of Packaging and seasoned Board advisor, Ed Pendergast, Founder and CEO of Pendergast & Company LLC., Jennifer Potter-Brotman, Area Manager for Russell Reynold’s, and Steven Bowen, the Chairman and Founder of Maine Pointe. Ed Pendergast will serve as Lead Director.

Ed Pendergast - Lead Director

Mr. Pendergast is the Founder and President of Pendergast & Company LLC., which provides corporate financial services to businesses. He works with a broad range of companies in industries as diverse as materials, restaurants, professional services and medical devices. While his primary background is finance, he advises companies on team building, strategy and corporate governance. He serves as a Director on numerous Boards and has been CEO for a number of companies. Mr. Pendergast holds both a Bachelors and Masters degrees from Bentley University and is a graduate of the Owner President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School.

Robert “Bob” Glatz

Mr. Glatz is the CEO of Fybr, a world leader in the design and development of low-power, distributed sensors and sensor networks in support of Smarter Cities. He was also EVP Operations and Corporate Development for BearingPoint from 2005 until 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Glatz spent nearly twenty five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers retiring in 2002 as PwC’s Global Managing Partner for Corporate Development, and as a member of the Chairman’s Office and US Leadership Team. Bob has served on both private and public Boards including Digitas, Inc. where he was also Audit Committee Chairman. A CPA, Mr Glatz earned his B.S.B.A. - Accounting and Finance (Summa Cum Laude) from The Ohio State University.

Wendell Knox

Mr Knox is the retired CEO of Abt Associates, a policy research and business consulting firm, where he had been employed since 1969. He remains a member of its Board of Directors. He is also Lead Director of Eastern Bank, a Director of Hanover Insurance Group and was elected to the Board of Trustees of Natixis, Loomis Sayles and Hansberger International Series Mutual Fund Complex, a fund complex comprised of forty funds. Mr. Knox is active in civic affairs, including past or present board memberships with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, The Partnership, The Efficacy Institute, The Dimock Community Foundation, Partners Continuing Care, and the Black Philanthropy Fund. Mr. Knox received a B.A. in Social Relations from Harvard University. In addition, he completed the Special Program in Urban Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Alexander “Alex” Watson

Mr. Watson has major worldwide operational and sales/marketing experience as an Executive and Chief Executive. He has held various public and private company non-executive positions as Chairman and non-executive director including roles with start up and turnaround businesses. Some of the best examples of his work are the successful sale of Britton Group to Private Equity after significant turnaround and the establishment of an integrated European business for Chep and also for Sonoco. He received an M.A. and B.A. at Cambridge University and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.

Jennifer Potter-Brotman

Ms. Potter-Brotman is the Area Manager for the Russell Reynold’s Boston office. She is a senior leader in the Human Resources and Practice and Corporate Officers Sector and a member of the Diversity Practice. She focuses on assessing and recruiting CHROs and other senior HR leaders. She has client relationships across a broad spectrum of industries, including financial services, healthcare, technology, industrial, professional services, and not for profit. Her clients include both public and private organizations. Ms. Potter-Brotman received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of New Hampshire and attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Steven J. Bowen, Chairman and Founder, Maine Pointe, LLC

Mr. Bowen is a decisive executive leader with over thirty years’ P&L experience delivering turnarounds and high-growth results for Fortune 1000 businesses in multiple industries across the world. As the Founding CEO and now Chairman of Maine Pointe, he has led two distinguished niche consulting entities known for consistently exceeding client expectations and delivering a level of guaranteed ROI that is uncommon in their respective industries.
