Chris Eaves is a member of the Logistics Practice and has been with SGS Maine Pointe for only 8 months. Chris has over 25 years of Logistics and Supply Chain experience working for various companies; Target Corporation, McLane Corporation, Columbia Sportswear.
Chris joined the his current Engagement after the analysis. He was the lead of the DC Operations Flow and Slotting Workstream
The team of 4 people executed 22 DC site locations in 20 weeks improving the travel time, product flow and product efficiency by reslotting and physical layout changes within the buildings. Chris and team developed a repeatable process and training to the internal client teams while doing the work at once to drive sustainability with the client team members.
The client is very happy with performance and the reslotting and layout has shown a 12% improvement in productivity.
Of the 22 facilities that were reslotted the team has reduced the travel aisles for Class A, B, & C items from the original 315 aisles down to 198 (37%) improvement, reducing 117 aisles significantly reducing travel.
