Pankratz-Umbehr Named Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know

SGS Maine Pointe’s Tiffany Pankratz-Umbehr receives Pros to Know Award in recognition of her vision and innovation in solving the biggest problems in the supply chain

Boston, Mass., March 11, 2023 -- Global supply chain and operations implementation consulting firm, SGS Maine Pointe, a member of the SGS Group, today announced that Tiffany Pankratz-Umbehr, Senior Managing Director and Head of Consumer Goods & Retail, has been honored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as one of the winners of their 2023 Pros to Know award.

Pankratz-Umbehr, who joined SGS Maine Pointe last year, has been a trusted advisor to many consumer and retail clients over the course of her career, helping them overcome their greatest challenges. With more than 20 years of experience in consumer products, industrial manufacturing, and retail, she has held several leadership roles and has been essential in guiding her clients to achieving sustainable growth. At SGS Maine Pointe, she is recognized as a leader and mentor, and founder of the firm’s Females Advancing Careers Together (FACT) group to promote and support women in supply chain.

“I am tremendously honored to receive this recognition from Supply & Demand Chain Executive,” said Pankratz-Umbehr. “And I am especially pleased to see how many women in prominent supply chain positions were mentioned in this prestigious and exclusive list of industry movers and shakers. This award also recognizes SGS Maine Pointe’s supply chain strategies and approach to solving some of the most complex problems companies face today in areas like supply chain optimization, procurement and sourcing, and network optimization.”

Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2023 Pros to Know Award recognizes supply chain executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage the supply chain for a competitive advantage. “This year’s list is filled with supply chain professionals whose achievements and success stories have helped move the needle in the supply chain. They promote safety, sustainability and workforce development. They work toward helping heal the supply chain. They’re actually in the supply chain,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “We received close to 400 nominations this year, the highest number of nominations ever for this award. It’s proof that today’s supply chain professionals are doing great things for the supply chain. They embody what a true leader should be. And, without their initiatives, programs and collaborative efforts, today’s supply chains would be in worse shape.”

“Since joining us at SGS Maine Pointe last year, Tiffany has been a valued mentor to other consultants, as well as a trusted advisor to our clients,” said Jeff Staub, CEO of SGS Maine Pointe. “Her insight and long history of consistently delivering a positive ROI for clients has proven an essential ingredient in how we at SGS Maine Pointe continue to thrive and grow.”

Pankratz-Umbehr was also recognized earlier this year by Food Logistics Magazine as the recipient of that publication’s Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award program, which recognizes individuals in the industry whose achievements and vision have shaped the global food supply chain. She is frequently published in industry publications, including a recent article in Food Logistics, “2 Things to Do Before Automating Your Food Processing Company” discussing how the data available to CPG firms help increase efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings. She is also author of the SGS Maine Pointe white paper, “The Pragmatic Approach to Tackling Disruptions in Consumer Goods and Retail Supply Chains,” which provides insights into how companies can gain stability and flexibility to deal with potential disruptions and turbulence ahead.
