Global supply chain and operations consultancy continues to strengthen its executive industry team in 2019

(Boston, Mass., January 15, 2019Global supply chain and operations consulting firm Maine Pointe has reinforced its ongoing commitment to the oil and gas sector with the addition of two senior industry experts. Tony Planos has joined Maine Pointe as an industry partner, and Barry Dull is the firm's newest market specialist.

With more than 25 years of management consulting experience, Planos has worked with some of the world's largest globally integrated oil and gas companies, North American onshore and offshore upstream operators, and complex oil and gas refining and marketing companies, delivering in excess of $2.5 billion in improved performance.

Prior to joining Maine Pointe, Planos was SVP of business optimization at Synagro Technologies. Also as an executive for a private equity group, he helped deliver improvement in EBITDA by redesigning key processes in the commercial and operations areas. He has extensive experience in implementing operational improvement strategies in both upstream and downstream oil and gas companies, helping clients compress time-to-market and safely exceed asset nameplate production while improving reliability, throughput and yield.

"Tony's leadership and experience will allow us to continue strengthening our oil and gas team and delivering sustainable EBITDA improvements to our clients in this sector," said David Jadwin, Executive VP Business Development at Maine Pointe. "Increasing uncertainty and swings in crude pricing, industry executives are facing complex operational challenges: from logistic constraints to an ocean of data to be analyzed to accelerating technology developments in improving the safe extraction and processing of hydrocarbons, our Total Value Optimizationâ„¢ approach will help position these companies for sustainable growth and a significant competitive advantage."

Barry Dull will bring extensive experience in both inside and outside sales, as well as a deep technical background in the industry. Prior to joining Maine Pointe, he served as a senior client executive in the chemicals and petroleum sector for IBM for nearly 20 years.

"Barry's passion for the oil and gas industry as well as his extensive experience and technical background will be key in bringing unparalleled success to our clients," said Jadwin. "I am thrilled to have industry experts like Tony and Barry on our team. The complexity of this sector and the growing need for supply chain integration present new challenges. Our team understands how to address those challenges and transform the supply chain into a competitive weapon."

The addition of these industry experts reflects the continuing growth of Maine Pointe and its position as one of the leading supply chain and operations consultancies. The firm's Total Value Optimizationâ„¢ approach has consistently driven value creation for all stakeholders along the buy-make-move-fulfill supply chain.
